Danone Employees Upgrade Digital Skills with BINAR DTA Bootcamp

Table of Content :

Employee training can be a significant booster for productivity, especially for those in strategic departments that influence the company's decision-making process.

Whether conventional or digital companies, there is always a need for skill upgrading among employees to accelerate workflows and meet customer needs.

This need is recognized by one of the largest multinational companies in Indonesia. Danone is a multinational corporation that produces a variety of food and beverage products.

Danone has a Data Solutions and Strategy Team that requires training to automate certain tasks and enhance data processing efficiency, as well as to develop strategic plans.

Consequently, Danone decided to collaborate with BINAR as a bootcamp provider to deliver internal training in the form of an intensive bootcamp through DTA.

DTA is a product of BINAR for Business, offering corporate training in various digital skills, including data, product management, and software engineering, to accelerate the company’s digital transformation.

Challenges to Address

Danone's internal team, particularly the Data Solutions and Strategy Team, requires upskilling in digital competencies related to data acquisition, data processing & reporting, and improving customer retention.

In light of these needs and desired skills, Danone chose to provide a Product Management bootcamp for employees in these two divisions.

The Product Management bootcamp is seen as the solution for the Data Solutions and Strategy Team, aiming to create a more seamless workflow concerning data and customer interactions.

Solutions Provided by BINAR DTA

BINAR DTA delivered the Product Management bootcamp using a science-backed learning methodology.

This bootcamp was tailored for Danone with an intensive program that combines flipped learning, online forum discussions, and project-based learning to optimize knowledge and skills acquisition.

Participants were also assigned a Group Project, culminating in a Final Presentation in front of facilitators and the Danone team, showcasing the results of their intensive learning over four months.

During the four months of intensive study, the learning process consisted of 38 face-to-face sessions (36 online & 2 offline). Online sessions were led by experienced Product Manager facilitators who are experts in product management skills.

Participants developed a total of five Product Requirement Documents (PRD) based on actual innovations needed at Danone.

They were divided into five teams, each aiming to solve real business process issues identified before and during the program.

Throughout the program, they honed and developed ideas into PRDs and Product Roadmaps to be presented to relevant stakeholders.

Results and Impact on the Danone Team

Members of the Data Solutions and Strategy Team acquired and applied foundational product management skills to handle various cases in their daily work.

After completing the intensive bootcamp, they were able to automate data acquisition processes, streamline data processing, and create faster and more reliable B2B data reports.

They also learned to operate One Store ID and the MDM Platform for more accurate planning, transforming churn behavior into effective retention strategies based on data and attributes.

Additionally, they were able to enhance the customer experience on WhatsApp to drive active customer engagement, boost customer loyalty, and increase direct online marketing channels to consumers, thereby extending customer lifetime value.
