Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including user guides, API documentation, manuals, and FAQs
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather and validate technical information
- Write clear, concise content that makes complex technical concepts accessible to various audiences
- Document APIs and integrate API documentation into our existing knowledge base
- Review and edit documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Maintain documentation standards and style guides
- Participate in the software development process to ensure timely documentation delivery
- Create and update documentation based on user feedback and product changes
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in technical writing, particularly in IT or software development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with technical teams
- Demonstrated experience creating user guides, API documentation, and technical manuals
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps)
- Proficiency in documentation tools and markup languages (HTML, XML, Markdown)
- Experience with documentation version control and content management systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic programming knowledge or ability to read code (Python, JavaScript)
- Experience with API documentation tools and standards
- Knowledge of technical documentation best practices and industry standards
- Experience with collaborative writing and documentation tools
- Background in software development or computer science
- Experience with modern documentation platforms and static site generators
