Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior PMO to lead and orchestrate a large-scale core system upgrade project involving nearly 30 applications over an 18-month timeline. This role requires a strategic project manager with a strong background in business analysis and experience managing core system projects in banking or multifinance environments. The Senior PMO will work closely with business users and lead a team of Business Analysts to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and orchestrate the core system upgrade project involving approximately 30 applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  2. Lead and coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables, adhering to an 18-month project schedule.
  3. Act as the primary liaison between business users and the technical project team, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  4. Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts, supporting them in translating business needs into technical requirements.
  5. Implement Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure a streamlined, iterative approach to project management.
  6. Provide strategic direction and insight, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to support project success.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions that meet functional business user requirements.
  8. Conduct and attend meetings with stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are achieved on schedule.
  9. Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and solutions to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a PMO, project management, or business analysis role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record managing complex core system upgrade projects, ideally in banking or multifinance sectors.
  • Extensive experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, with experience in business analysis or project management roles related to ERP implementations.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate large-scale, strategic projects with complex application architectures.
  • Strong understanding of functional business user requirements and multi-disciplinary project scope.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing risks and ensuring project success.
  • Experience working on-site and available for offline interviews as the project start date approaches.
