Job Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior PMO to lead and orchestrate a large-scale core system upgrade project involving nearly 30 applications over an 18-month timeline. This role requires a strategic project manager with a strong background in business analysis and experience managing core system projects in banking or multifinance environments. The Senior PMO will work closely with business users and lead a team of Business Analysts to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and orchestrate the core system upgrade project involving approximately 30 applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables, adhering to an 18-month project schedule.
- Act as the primary liaison between business users and the technical project team, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts, supporting them in translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Implement Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure a streamlined, iterative approach to project management.
- Provide strategic direction and insight, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to support project success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions that meet functional business user requirements.
- Conduct and attend meetings with stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are achieved on schedule.
- Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and solutions to senior management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a PMO, project management, or business analysis role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record managing complex core system upgrade projects, ideally in banking or multifinance sectors.
- Extensive experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, with experience in business analysis or project management roles related to ERP implementations.
- Ability to manage and coordinate large-scale, strategic projects with complex application architectures.
- Strong understanding of functional business user requirements and multi-disciplinary project scope.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing risks and ensuring project success.
- Experience working on-site and available for offline interviews as the project start date approaches.
