JIRA Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain Jira Service Management functionality.
• Develop and maintain complex automation workflows.
• Develop and maintain field configurations, notifications, issue security and permission schemes, etc.
• Develop and maintain functionality to automate administration tasks (user, group, role, schemes, etc.)
• Maintain documentation, scripting and/or tooling to aid in promoting configuration across environments.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Jira users, ensuring seamless operations.
• Develop custom reports using Jira Query Language (JQL) to deliver actionable insights.
• Integrate Jira with other tools such better with collaboration tools like Slack.
• Automate processes using Jira Automation and scripting tools (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript).
• Train team members on Jira best practices and provide ongoing support.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Jira Administrator or Specialist.
• Strong understanding of Jira’s Agile methodologies, project management, and workflows.
• Extensive experience building Automation for Jira automation rules.
• Extensive experience building and maintaining Jira with groups, project roles, issue roles, permission schemes, issue security schemes, etc.
• Experience using/extending REST APIs.
• Experience in CI/CD tools.
• Experience working with Python.
• Proficiency in JQL with the ability to create custom reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian suite.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Prefer to have experience in Slack Bot Development.
• Have experience with Lark integration is plus.
