Job Overview:
We are seeking a Medior Data Platform Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our client team. In this role, you’ll oversee the data platform development process, implement robust database modeling, and collaborate closely with architects and team members to ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality. The role requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and an eagerness to work in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and monitor the development and optimization of data models, focusing on both RDMS and NoSQL databases to support scalable architectures.
- Ensure accurate data migration across systems, supporting efficient movement and adherence to integrity standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support the data platform, ensuring alignment with architecture requirements.
- Leverage messaging tools such as Confluent and Pub/Sub in support of the current GCP migration process.
- Maintain data clarity and integrity throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work closely with cloud infrastructure, optimizing data processes and contributing to cloud-based strategies.
- Drive continuous learning within the team, encouraging innovation and personal development.
- Adopt and promote a collaborative, startup-oriented working style that supports team growth and flexibility.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or SQL Developer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Advanced knowledge in data modeling, including RDMS, NoSQL, and caching solutions.
- Solid understanding of T-SQL and SQL development.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as SSIS and Talend.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with messaging platforms like Confluent and Pub/Sub.
- Adaptive to dynamic tech stack and development environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High willingness to learn and stay current with evolving data technologies.
