Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a strong focus on customer service and operations
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and motivate teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Proficient in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in both English and Indonesian for effective cross-border communication
- Skilled in negotiation with carriers and vendors to optimize service and profitability
- Agile and solution-oriented, thrives in fast-paced and dynamic environments
Job Description:
Daily Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily CS and operations activities including end-to-end freight processes (import/export, sea, air, road, warehousing, customs, project logistics)
- Act as the main contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of service and prompt issue resolution
- Supervise and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations and training
- Monitor and enforce the use of internal systems for shipment updates and continuous improvement
- Track shipment status, manage EDI and documentation, and ensure excellent customer experiences
- Maintain updated knowledge of customs regulations and support PPJK license compliance
- Control operational costs through budgeting, forecasting, and vendor negotiations
- Coordinate with overseas agents on RFQs and RFIs
- Collaborate with the sales team to align service delivery with business goals and SLAs
- Forecast staffing needs and manage headcount efficiency
Biweekly Responsibilities:
- Lead biweekly team meetings to align on performance goals, updates, and issue resolution
- Review carrier pricing trends and share insights with the sales team
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Present monthly KPI reports with focus on efficiency, cost control, and service quality
- Evaluate team structure and individual performance for operational optimization
